Next Wednesday, February 12 th , we will be presenting information to other 5 th grade classrooms about Cattle Trails.  It would be great if you could dress your child in some Western/Cowboy attire.  Some simple ideas are: flannel shirts, plaid shirts, cowboy boots, cowboy hats, vests, and bandanas.  It will definitely add to their presentations! 😊 THIS IS NOT SOMEHTING THAT YOU NEED TO GO OUT AND PURCHASE!!!!  If your child is able to participate, please make sure that they also have their STANDARD ATTIRE uniform to change in to when we are finished.

Third quarter is now upon us, can you believe it?! The Teasley Attendance Team wants to reward those students who come to school on time every day. Students who have perfect attendance at the end of the quarter, ending on Friday, March 13 th , will receive a free dress down day, surprise treat, and 1 entry into the end of the year drawing for a BRAND NEW BIKE! Students who have perfect attendance for the entire school year will also get to participate in an end of year celebration during the last week of school. Our field trip on Monday was absolutely phenomenal! Our class was able to tour Dr. King’s house and it was such a moving experience.  The children have been raving about it! We hope that you enjoy this time with your child(ren)! 😊 When we return from break on Monday, we will be reviewing all three strategies to solve multiplication problems followed by an assessment on Tuesday.  The children are going to be bringing home their math journals, so they can review their three strategies at any time during next week. PLEASE WORK ON BASIC MULTIPLICATION FACTS WITH YOUR CHILD(REN) OVER THE BREAK.  A lot of the students are struggling because they aren’t fluent with their facts 0-12.   We will also be wrapping up our first IB Unit.
